The Cougar’s Growl is our NMS Newspaper, written for the students by the students! It contains items that are of interest to NMS students, what’s going on in the world, and what’s going on around our school! It is my sincere hope that students will enjoy reading these publications and will wish to contribute to future issues. Any student who would like to, may write an article for the newspaper. Yes, if there is something that is of particular interest to them, it is probably something that other students will be interested in too! So, they may write an article and submit it for publication! One of our staff members will edit the article and prepare it for the paper. This is also a way for students' voices to be “heard” about issues that they may not feel comfortable expressing in any other way. If there is a particular issue that they would like for us to address, the NMS Cougar’s Growl Staff will be happy to “investigate” and report our findings! We would like to publish an issue every two weeks for the remainder of the year; however, we will need contributions from our students in order to have enough material for print! If a student is interested in something, but not able to acutally write an article about it, they may write a request and have one of their teachers drop it in my box! I cannot guarantee that all items will be reported on, but we will do our very best to make this newspaper something for all of our students to truly enjoy!
